Roopa Varadharajan
Senior Lawyer
Roopa Varadharajan is a Senior Planning, Environment and Government lawyer who has extensive advisory and litigation experience providing advice, and acting for, councils, corporations and private citizens since her admission in 2013. She has worked in law firms, in-house and the state government agencies which provides her with a unique perspective in understanding a client’s needs and providing practical and commercial outcomes.
Roopa ‘s practice covers all areas of environmental, planning and local government law. She has provided complex advice covering a broad range of issues including, but not limited to, water, waste, contaminated land, pollution, hazardous wastes, voluntary planning agreements, regulatory/compliance work and compulsory acquisition.
In addition, Roopa also has extensive experience acting for government agencies and private clients in litigation in the Land and Environment Court of NSW, Supreme Court of NSW and NSW Court of Appeal. She has been involved in a number of Class 1 and Class 4 and Class 5 proceedings.
